Naked Roommate – “FightFlight”

The Bay Area burners that usually turn up on the site often swing the needle towards indie pop, but the Bay’s got more than just guitar snap in it’s coffers these days and the greased wobble of Naked Roommate remains one of the West’s best. The band returns with a new platter for Trouble In Mind this year, letting out the sax-streaked slink of “FightFlight” this week. The band laps at the battery-acid blisters of the more melted ends of ‘70s post-punk, inducing a bit of dazed dancing that digs through Descloux, Medium Medium, and the Human Records roster to bend the body into a few unnatural angles. The new single sets the speakers thrumming in anticipation of Pass The Loofah, out October 25th.
