Mt. Misery – “Sunday Song”

A sweet wistful second single seeps out from the upcoming new album from Mt. Misery. The band’s second for impeccable UK indie Prefect Records captures the band’s same strain of soft-hearted strums, pairing chiming guitars with a touch of organ and vocals draped with sighs and supple harmonies. The band’s sophomore album pushes closer to some well-loved nineties nuggets, picking at Flexi-single stunners from a further past than the aughts instincts that permeated their debut. The indie instincts are reflected nicely on “Sunday Song.” The cut feels immediately familiar, just riding the tip-of-the-toungue, constantly out of reach territory, but comforting all the same. The band’s new album, Love In Mind, is out November 1st from Prefect.
