A busy week for El Paraiso and specifically Martin Rude and Jakob Skøtt who had a single out with Edena Gardens yesterday. This time the pair are back into the jazz-psych bunker with London Odense Ensemble. Cut from the same sessions as Vol. 1, the band prep the future release of Vol. 2, but let out this taste first. Darker and more compact at first, “Reflective Shapes” has a seething nature creeping through until Tamar Osborn lays down a lilting, somersaulting flute line over the top of the heady pulse. The release promises to be more diverse, “broadening the set out the spectrum of the ensemble into new realms.” The new single is out now with the full album promised sometime next year.
