A rather nice cut here from the debut collaboration of Luke Schneider (Margo Price, Teddy and the Rough Riders) and Kyle Hamlett. The pair met playing in Nashville band Lylas and reconnected over some old songs that eventually blossomed into a full album. The first single is an unfettered affair, just Kyle’s sand-rubbed vocals, Luke’s gorgeous slide runs, and a soft saunter of acoustic strings. The song doesn’t push hard, cradling the listener in a weary comfort that crops up in more than a few places on the upcoming Tape Diamonds. This is one that should be on your radar. The new album is out August 26th from Arrowhawk Records.
