Josephine Network – “With The Girls”

Following quickly on the just-released album No One’s Rose, Joesphine Network returns with a smoother side of her glam-pop soul. Where the last album injected a bit of country into the mix, “With The Girls” is a soft breeze of jangled soul, pushing and pulling at a slight power pop crunch in the chorus. The song feels like a counterpoint to Joesphine’s buoyant cut “Me and My Boys,” from 2020’s Music Is Easy. Both songs share a sense of camaraderie and friendship that sails through like a ray of sunshine. If you missed out on the excellent, No One’s Rose, double back and pick that up as well.
