Josephine Network – “With The Girls”

Following quickly on the just-released album No One’s Rose, Joesphine Network returns with a smoother side of her glam-pop soul. Where the last album injected a bit of country into the mix, “With The Girls” is a soft breeze of jangled soul, pushing and pulling at a slight power pop crunch in the chorus. The song feels like a counterpoint to Joesphine’s buoyant cut “Me and My Boys,” from 2020’s Music Is Easy. Both songs share a sense of camaraderie and friendship that sails through like a ray of sunshine. If you missed out on the excellent, No One’s Rose, double back and pick that up as well. The new track is out now streaming and you can grab a download through larger digital outlets, but hopefully it’s coming to Bandcamp soon as well.
