Josephine Network – “Tall Buildings”

A new single an EP are on the way from NYC’s Josephine Network this week. Josephine (Brower, Brontez Purnell Trio) has been a fixture around here, slipping from glam to country-simmered stunners. The latest single, “Tall Buildings” lights into a Small Faces-esque build, skewing towards the band’s thicker riffs — a “Tin Soldier” for our times with a focus on managing anxiety. It’s an ode to the city, a love letter to the enduring appeal of the skyscraper and getting lost in the city. “Tall Buildings” was produced by Sunflower Bean’s Olive Faber, who shares producing credits on the EP alongside members of The Lemon Twigs and a few others. Tall Buildings is out now from House of Feelings.
