Jetstream Pony – “Bubblegum Nothingness”

A new pop crush built from familiar grounds hits this week. Jetstream Pony features members of more than a few jangle pop heavy hitters, including Trembling Blue Stars, The Wedding Present. The Popguns, and The Dentists. The first single from the band’s upcoming new LP fizzes with life, propelled by fuzz riffs and the hazed vocals of Beth Arzy. The narcotic single “Bubblegum Nothingness” douses the listener in gauzy plumes of pop, filling the room with fog before draping the cut in a slight shimmer of psych and dreampop. The band leans into the heady vibes in a new video pulsing with color and light. The new album, Bowerbirds and Blue Things, hits shelves March 28th from Shelflife Recordds and Spinout Nuggets.
