Isik Kural – “paperhat”

A lovely new record arrives on the horizon from RVNG, Intl. Isik Kural’s “paperhat” feels like a lullaby for the soul — childlike, but beautifully constructed. The delicate lap of guitar and keys recline in the sun, spreading a natural warmth through the speakers that’s genuine and tender. It recalls stolen moments of quiet, surrounded by a light breeze and the intangible connections of nature. The snow might have a grip on the Northern Hemisphere right now, but as far as Isik Kural is concerned Spring is eternal and lies inward. The video here provides an appropriately twee, but likewise gorgeous accompaniment. The upcoming album, in february, is out March 25th.
