Hectorine – “Take A Chance With Me”
by Andy
The latest single from Hectorine ties into her new album’s themes of death and rebirth, stripping away the past to become the version of yourself you need to be. With equal footing in folk and ‘80s pop, the song is wind torn and tattered but resilient. The song embodies the hope at the root of rebirth; an invitation to take a chance on a new life that’s draped in 12-string strums, soaring organ lines, and defiant three-part harmonies. The song tugs at the heart, a whirlpool of longing lit by a bright spark of optimism. The video comes from a familiar name as well, directed by Kati Mashikian of RSTB faves April Magazine. Hectorine’s new album, Arrow of Love, is out May 23rd from Take a Turn Records.
