Another solid sneak at the upcoming album from Gray/Smith. The duo found their way here on the debut, an album that began the bounds of their ambling, country-flecked sound. The pair have longstanding roots in East Coast psych circles, Pigeons, No-Neck Blues Band, Rhyton, and the Suntanama, to name a few, and here L. Gray and Rob Smith parlay the burnt wire trappings of their past into a prog-dipped take on country and folk. The duo debuted a new single a few weeks back, the breezy instrumental “Verrazzano Tile” and the single returns in a new video, sliding easily into the fuzzed strummer “Heels In The Aisle.” The group’s new album, Heels In The Aisle, arrives October 4th from Blank Forms.
