Fuckwolf – “Flamin’ Hot Cheetos”

Avatar

Fuckwolf have been kicking around the SF live scene for quite a while now, building up pressure on their debut LP for just shy of two decades, but now seems like the perfect time to pop the seal on their scorch. Feauturing members of Peacers, Cindy, Mike Donovan’s solo outfit, and a drop in on keys from Nash Whalen of Wooden Shjips, the band split the studio session between Phil Manley and Eric Bauer, balancing the muscle and melt of those two particular styles on the upcoming Goodbye, Asshole. First single, “Flamin’ Hot Cheetos,” leads with an firecracker blast of drums before letting their No Wave impulses chew through the guitar wires. The song churns with a saran-wrapped chaos, pushing at its bounds with a pent-up tension before ripping loose in flame bursts of guitar grind moments later. The album is out November 11th from Silver Current Records.
