EggS – “End of the Road”
Massively underrated French band EggS returns with a second single from their upcoming sophomore album. “End of the Road’ finds the band as anthemic as ever, building towering indie epics that boil over with catharsis. Clashing guitars, fizzing keys, and a male/female vocal volley put this one up there with the band’s best. The group’s voluminous ranks and towering indie sound feel like a return to the classic cut of indie rock at the turn of the century — like Broken Social Scene with a deeper bite or Arcade Fire without all the lingering harassment accusations. The cut’s complimented with a new video that imagines band struggles as a Life-esque board game. It’s a fun accompaniment to the single, which appears on the upcoming Crafted Achievement, out November 1st from Prefect Records and Howlin’ Banana.
