Credit Electric – “Pages”

Dredging through things that got swept under the December rug turns up the announcement that Cali Cosmic Americana trio Credit Electric have been signed to Royal Oakie record with a new album on the way this spring. The band has a new single out this week on their Bandcamp. No official news if this appears on the upcoming record, but the timing seems likely. Blanketed in a woolen comfort and a low afternoon light, the song shifts and swims like a lava lamp playing pedal steel. A bit of tell tale twang offsets Ryan LoPilato’s weatherbeaten vocals while the leads lap at the wounds of “Pages.” The current cosmic field is filling up, but I’m not complaining from where I’m sitting. Hopefully some news soon on the new album, but for now, “Pages” should fill those speakers with a bit of Western warmth.
