Autocamper – “Summertime”

A UK name that’s been bubbling on my periphery comes back around with a second single for 2024. Lost somewhere in my scheduling notes is a reminder to post about the band’s last outing “Blanche/Budge” (which you should definitely check out,) but now’s as good a time as ever to tell you to look out for Autocamper. The band has a knack for digging their hooks into UK and NZ indie pop’s past, crimping bits of The Pastels, Chris Knox, and Able Tasmans along the way. With an organ-forward hook, the band keeps the momentum off of their last single, paving the way for an upcoming full length on Slumberland. The new single is out now, with the full release out on cassette and digital on Friday.
