WEEED – “Into The Light”

I wrote this great new single from WEEED up the other day, but the band’s gone and knocked it up a notch with an accompanying video that pairs the song’s dawn spirit with footage of them recording the track in studio. As I’d previously mentioned, the song is stripped back from their last LP, a meditative burble that’s pinned to drones and steeped in a kind of rippled raga. The band builds the track slow, but never quite breaks over the seawall, letting it lap at the listener with a refreshing insistence. Green Roses Vol. 1 is out May 11th from Halfshell Records.
