The Prefab Messiahs – “Beautiful Things 2”

Ringing out in an explosion of Paisley Pop, the new single from veteran psych-poppers The Prefab Messiahs pairs an infectious chorus with humming leads. The Byrds-ian jangles are pulled through the prism, undercut with a droning line, a quiver of distortion and laid atop a Nuggets-worthy stomp. Overlaid with harmonies and a smoke-curl of effects, the Worcester, Mass band proves that they still have a bit to teach the newer classes of psych-pop.
