The Babe Rainbow – “Rainbow Rock (Levitation Session)”

I really love the relaxed air on this upcoming Levitation session from The Babe Rainbow. After some large scale sessions that included Ty Segall Band in a Greek amphitheater in the hills of Los Angeles and Slift in a massive particle microscope in Toulouse, the latest session sees the series scaling back to create a comfortable backyard vibe recorded at The Music Farm with friends and family in attendance. Without any huge backdrops or sweeping vistas, the Aussie band leans into their surf-striped psychedelia. Soaked in autumn sun and feeling like the band is as relaxed as the strains of “Rainbow Rock” steaming off of the first taste of the session, the band leans into the commune cradle with perfect ease. This one proves that the psychedelic womb can win out over breathtaking set pieces just as well. The new session streams on March 27th, and the physical goods are set to ship over the course of the year with posters, Tees, and LPs all hitting from summer through fall.
