tarotplane – “The Shore Does Not Doubt The Ocean Will Return”

Following last year’s kosmiche and motorik currents on Horizontology, tarotplane returns with a decidedly more languid set of songs. The flow on Light Self All Others is meditative with a light dash of brooding. There’s a darkness under “The Shore Does Not Doubt The Ocean Will Return.” Synth ambience rises up like fog off the water while Dorsey’s guitar braids through the mists. The new record finds him once again aligning with the synth crowd over the guitar entrenchment, himself a conduit between camps. The record is out on a new home, NY’s Patience/Impatience imprint, an enclave of ambient and downtempo house. The record is out May 12th.
