Sylvie – “Further Down The Road”

Sylvie prep their excellent debut from last year for a physical release, adding in a couple of new tracks to flesh out the EP. The last of these new offerings is out today with a properly faded video amplifying the song’s 70’s sway. Sounding like a lost Linda Ronstadt deep cut, “Further Down The Road,” reclines into a soft cushion of ’70s pop. Fans of Pearl Charles, Weyes Blood, or Ben’s other gig in Drugdealer should find plenty to love here. The band’s Marina Allen takes the lead on vocals this time around. Her delivery is perfectly packed with ennui, a song of departures and lonesome nights. The LP version of their debut is out October 28th from Full Time Hobby.
