Phil & The Tiles – “Nun’s Dream”

Anti-Fade keeps up their spotless run of late with a new 7” from newcomers Phil & the Tiles. Buzzing with the kind of curdled, off-kilter pop that fed Ausmuteants and UV Race, the band’s first single springboards off of Catholic School sweat for a blast of synth-punk that wobbles on its axis. Seems there’s a slight resurgence in the key-dipped punks over there of late and this makes a nice compliment to the recent Delivery single that just sprung up. Though Phil & The Tiles keep things a bit dingier than that lot, letting a good dose of din creep into the cut. The new EP is out October 28th from the AF crew.
