Nydia Gonzalez – “I Like Myself Again”

A lovely, overcast cut from California songwriter Nydia Gonzalez captures the tenor of her eponymous new EP. The record features members of Mapache, and captures a similarly sanguine side of the West Coast sound. Plaintive strums billow beneath Gonzalez’s melancholy ode to self-acceptance. The song is a perfect accompaniment to sunny days with a bit of chill biting at the air. Tossed among the sea breeze, the sound of the surf, and some resigned sighs, this is an excellent companion for wandering and self-reflection. The new EP is out digitally now.
