Mapache – “Love Can’t Hold Me”

Avatar

A few more singles find their way out of the new Mapache record this week, following up on the band’s recently released album of covers. Roscoe’s Dream embraces the band’s warm evening glow, reclining into the breezes that blow off of the water and mixing Canyon country and folk into a mesmerizing haze. With their longtime collaborator Dan Horne behind the boards, “Love Can’t Hold Me” features Farmer Dave Scher on lap steel, encapsulating the relaxes euphoria that flows through the new album. Clay and Sam’s voices are as honeyed as ever, bringing to mind The Everylys or Chad & Jeremy gone country. The new album is out June 10th from Innovative Leisure.
