Lewsberg – “The Corner”

Avatar

A surprise new record (or mini-album if you will) from Lewsberg lands today, and while I’m sure I’ll have more to say after a few full immersions, it’s worth getting in front of your eyes as soon as possible. “The Corner” picks up the on the wealth of hip-hung vibrations that permeated their 2020 LP, In This House. With a winsome wander of guitar feeling out the shape of the night and a dose of somber violin over a Moe Tucker swipe on the drums, the band finds themselves pushing further into the smoke-curl cool that they’d explored on the quieter moments of ITH. That record eschewed the churn of their debut in many ways and this release wanders further down that path. In Your Hands is out today from 12xU.
