L’Eclair – “P+R”

Avatar

It’s shaping up to be a full year for Swiss psych-funk travelers L’Eclair. On the heels of their collaboration with Maston for his recent album Souvenir, the band announces their own new LP, Confusions. Draped with John Carpenter unease and the neon-refracted darkness of Vangelis’ Blade Runner score, the first cut from the new album throbs with a dark heart. The band accompanies it with a disembodied cityscape video, adding to the ‘80s soundtrack vibes. If your head has been locked into Minimal Wave, Ghost Box releases like The Advisory Circle’s Ways Of Seeing, or soundtrack reissues, then there’s a lot to love here. The new LP is out November 12th from Les Disques Bongo Joe.
