Langkamer – “Sing At Dawn”

Avatar

Late last year Bristol outfit Langkamer released a solid EP that mixed nods to Wowee Zowee-era Pavement, Spaklehorse, and The Replacements. The band’s second album is announced today along with a video for the first single “Sing At Dawn.” The song finds the band exploring a lived-in strain of Americana, turning down the crackle of the previous EP for a limber, languid twang that’s not too far removed from American counterparts like Arbor Labor Union or Ryan Pollie. It’s the kind of sun-baked, low-key strummer that’s just right for a mid-week perk up. The band’s new album, The Noon and Midnight Manal is out May 8th.
