Lachlan Denton – “Lose”

Been enjoying this new single from Aussie songwriter Lachlan Denton (Ciggie Witch, Pop Filter, The Ocean Party). Jangled and gentle, the first taste of his upcoming album Furnishings finds him sparring six-string ramble against the saw of violin, lost in a lavender head-swum haze. Denton’s pop always carries with it a sense of melancholy and that bittersweet charm blooms nicely over the almost too short strains of “Lose.” The single finds him slightly more pared down that his excellent work with Pop Filter, who’ve released a pair of essentials over the past few years. The new album is out April 14h from RSTB faves Bobo Integral.
