Another excellent single from the upcoming Jeffrey Silverstein album glides onto the speakers this morning. With a video treatment from Mark Neeley, “(Theme From) Western Sky Music” exemplifies the kind of sundown euphoria that’s captured on Silverstein’s new album. Loping on an understated beat, the song lets the steel swells stretch in the warm summer air. The lonesome percussive taps echo out into the ether answered in turn by the inviting aura of the golden-hued strings. The new album, Western Sky Music, is out May 12th from Arrowhawk Records.
