Jeanines – “Who’s In The Dark”

Avatar

Still can’t get enough of the new record from NYC’s Jeanines. The record picks up a dozen jangle pop pieces, pulling the thread from ‘60s folk through C86 stalwarts, feeling like every song is hovering between eras. “Who’s in the Dark” shines sweetly with a bittersweet blush that glows gorgeously between the jangles. This one leans further towards their ‘60s end of the spectrum, which seems to be the slightly more dominant strain this time around, adding a bit of Brit-folk wobble to their pastel palette. The new record is out April 22nd from Slumberland.
