Jeanines – “Don’t Wait For A Sign”

The Spring’s got a lot of gems in store, but this new album from Jeanines is near the top of the list. The last single let a bittersweet breeze into the mix, but on “Don’t Wait For A Sign,” the duo gloss some of their indie-pop instincts with a sheen of ‘60s jangles and sunshine folk — bringing to mind Wendy & Bonnie or The Free Design if they were signed to Sarah. The breeziness and sunshine soak is welcome as we near a bit of a break from winter’s bleakness. Some things arrive just when they’re needed, and that seems to be the case for “Don’t Wait For A Sign.” The new album, also titled Don’t Wait For A Sign, is out April 22nd from Slumberland.
