Gerycz/Powers/Rolin – “Rotations”

Another excellent glimpse into the upcoming Gerycz/Powers/Rolin slips out and its just as entrancing as the first. The trio again evokes pre-dawn stillness and rolling greens of a verdant natural scene. Dulcimer and guitars twine around one another while Jayson pushes the track along on a beat that practically skips with a palpable joy. The whole record is a delight and hard to pull apart into individual sentiments, but no matter where the inroads for this one are found, they’re all the kind of stunners that stop the listener in their tracks until the last notes glide away over the hills. The video by Peter Shapiro reflects the natural themes that are present in their works, letting images of the plants and bees spar with some more psychedelic visuals.
