George is Lord – “Wah Wah”

A good week around here for Sam Balsucci of Mapache channeling the spirits of the past. As the band’s album 3 is released today, covering a wide swath of faves, he unveils another cut from his George is Lord project along with Anna Pomerantz for Curation Records. The band tackles “Wah Wah” from All Things Must Pass. They keep the song’s ramble in tact, but Pomeratnz’ vocals give it a bit lighter touch. It’s a nice curio for sunnier days as Winter draws in. So far the band has just been letting singles slip, but it feels like its building to a bigger release. Keep an ear out for that in the future.
