Favorite Albums of 2022

For me this is a bit early, as I often fully embrace the idea that the year isn’t over just because it’s the beginning of December. But if there’s a theme for 2022 it’s helping artists in a time when options seem slimmer by the day. So, I’m looking to post this when it might be the most impactful, and that meant trying to get this together by the December Bandcamp Friday. With touring becoming ever more precarious it’s even more important to work to support artists as directly as possible. That said, 2022 was an amazing year for music and this may well be the fullest year-end roundup I’ve had yet. The margins may be harder than ever, but the music itself has rarely been better. As with past years, the list is not a quantitative assessment of best, but rather favorites presented in alphabetical order with no weighting assigned. Check out my faves of the year below!
