Edena Gardens – “Sombra Del Mar”

I wasn’t expecting to hear from Edena Gardens so soon. After serving up one of last year’s favorite albums with their eponymous debut for El Paraiso, the band is back already with news of a sophomore LP on the way. “Sombra Del Mar” heads for the band’s more languid side, ensconcing Nicklas Sørensen’s guitars in a sea of ice and echo. The song’s languid luxury is accompanied quite well with a kaleidoscopic clip, full of shimmers in the dark. The song is as achingly inviting as any in their catalog and has me eager to see what Agar has in store when it lands April 7th. Seems that the band has a live album on the way as well, so its primed to be a good year for Edena Gardens.
