Cindy – “Thin as Flags”

Arizona’s Emotional Response gear up for the sixth installment in their female punk and indie series Typical Girls and setting things straight in the wake of the announcement is a new track from RSTB faves Cindy. The SF band sound as clear-eyed as they ever have on “Thin as Flags,” burning off some of the haze that has settled on their past catalog. The song feels private, a beacon shining over the hills for an audience of one. Cindy have a way of drawing the listener close and huddling with them under a woolen blanket of hooks, and even with a bit of that haze chewed away, the new single maintains that sleepover serenade. The new comp includes entries from a few familiar names on the Raven roster including Naked Roommate, Fake Fruit, and Sweeping Promises alongside unfamiliar entries from Ukraine, Turkey, Finland, and US darlings The Linda Lindas. The comp is out October 28th.
