Beautify Junkyards – “Dupla Exposição”

Just a little while back Lisbon band Beautify Junkyards announced their upcoming album Cosmorama on Ghost Box. The record continues their nebulous psych-pop sound that’s been built over the past few albums and opening cut “Dupla Exposição” exemplifies the shifting psychedelic wonderland that they’ve built. Mixing the kind of slippery, alchemical psych that Broadcast have been rightly revered for with a bit of Tropicalia and ‘60s French Lounge, the song is a gorgeous slip through the slits in time and space accompanied by a video that sweeps by in mercurial dream state. The video was produced by Beautify Junkyards, Season of the Witch Art and Maus da Fita. If you’re unfamiliar with the band’s lysergicly layered pop, now’s a good time to get in involved. The record is out January 15th from Ghost Box.
