Andrew Tuttle – “Correlation (feat. Chuck Johnson, Josh Kimbrough)”

A waft of pastoral folk floats in on the breeze from RSTB fave Andrew Tuttle today. Tuttle’s ambient country leanings are bolstered here with the addition of Chuck Johnson on pedal steel and Josh Kimbrough on guitar, making for a beautiful piece that’s scented with heather and lavender. Tuttle picks out a cobblestone saunter, but it’s Johnson’s coral and amber hues of steel that let this one shimmer at the edges. The track appears to be from a forthcoming release titled Fleeting Adventure, but no word on when it might arrive other than later in the spring. Fans of SUSS, Barry Walker, and Old Saw should dive right into this one.
